Tis the one mob

The mob that sets Barabbas free (Matthew 27:15-26).

The mob that points its finger at Jesus and cries „crucify him.“

Marat, Robespierre, Lenin, Savonarola, Mao and all the other friends of ideological murder—they always find a mob willing to deny the „Other“ the right to live.

The mob that today marches at the behest of the conscienceless, demanding the dissolution of their own country’s borders, the squandering of the collective inheritance, and the prohibition of dissenting thought.

The mob that willingly extends its fat little fingers to point when in Germany „social disadvantages for all those“ are demanded who insisted on the integrity of their bodies: „May the entire republic point its finger at them.“

These are not different mobs.

It is the same one mob. Mob is an ugly inclination in the soul of humanity. Mob is the collective manifestation of original sin.

The mob stands ready, righteous fury at the ready, when the man on TV incites them to it.

I recommend prudence and caution. And for reflection, Psalm 23:

For though I should walk in the midst of the shadow of death, I will fear no evils, for thou art with me. Thy rod and thy staff, they have comforted me.

– Psalm 23:4
